Professionals Real Estate has expanded its presence in the burgeoning Moreton Bay region, 30km north of Brisbane, with the opening of a new office coinciding with the group’s major business transformation and national rebranding.
Matthew Klauss, Principal of Professionals Kallangur, officially opened the doors to his first agency with wife Esther on July 1. A familiar face in the area, Matthew brings a wealth of sales experience, having changed career lanes from the motor vehicle industry to real estate six years ago.
“The transition felt like a natural progression, combining my background in vehicle sales with my passion for property and investment,” Mr Klauss said.
After gaining valuable experience as a sales manager with a large local independent real estate agency, Mr Klauss began exploring the next phase of his career. “I witnessed the strengths and limitations of an independent agency model and was looking for an environment with brand cohesion and a supportive team,” he said.
“Professionals’ membership model impressed me. Everyone works together as part of a bigger team, so you’re not left to fend for yourself, and the name is respected wherever you go in Australia.
“It’s a really exciting time to launch my business with all the energy surrounding the group’s major relaunch.”
Professionals Kallangur is one of five new offices to open under the network’s refreshed brand, which is currently being rolled out across 190 offices throughout Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea. The ambitious business overhaul reflects a new era for the almost 50-year-old network, delivering a contemporary redesign and a renewed commitment to innovation, technology and member support.
Professionals CEO Sean Hanneberry welcomed the newest Queensland office. “Matthew and Esther provide a strategic boost to our presence in the state’s southeast,’’ he said.
“They bring enthusiasm and a fresh perspective at a pivotal time for our network and the fast-growing Moreton Bay region, which is projected to welcome more than 300,000 new residents by 2046.
“We are committed to empowering our newest members to achieve great success.”
Launching as a team of two, Mr Klauss has ambitious plans for growth, aiming to welcome an extra sales agent and property manager to grow the rent roll. “Starting from scratch, we know the importance of building a strong foundation and investing in the right people, at the right time,” he said.
“Professionals investment in technology partnerships and network support has been a game-changer for the launch of our new office. Everything we need is at our fingertips – marketing resources, tech backing and advice available across the team. It’s a big offering. We can pick and choose what will work for us as a new business.”
Located in a prime, high-exposure site on Kallangur’s main street, the office will serve the region’s vibrant and diverse market.
“After living and working locally for 15 years, I’ve seen the region evolve. Moreton Bay has something for everyone – families, investors, first-home buyers and up-sizers. It’s transforming with rezoning and higher density, making it a particularly exciting time to be establishing a new business.”
Mr Klauss is driven by his passion for property and people. “No two days in real estate are the same, a new challenge arises every day. I’ve had the privilege of meeting people from all walks of life and building long-term relationships with clients – some are now bringing their adult children, the next generation, to buy their first home with me,” he said.
