Professionals was founded in 1976 at the Breakfast Creek Hotel in Brisbane. Six salespeople from different agencies came together and said: ‘We can do better’. They created a model where offices and agents can keep their independence yet work collaboratively in a network and with the support of one brand, ensuring everyone can maintain growth through supporting each other.
From the start, this member-based group invested all profits from franchise fees back into the network something that remains unchanged to this day. In the first five years, 45 offices were opened in Queensland. Since then, the brand has spread to the rest of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
In 2024 Professionals celebrated our 20th anniversary as a Diamond partner of the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) with $4.5 million in total funds raised for research. Together we share the goal of zero deaths from breast cancer.
In recognition of this achievement Associate Professor Cleola Anderiesz, Chief Executive Officer at NBCF nominated Professionals for the prestigious Great Philanthropy Award from Research Australia, where the group won in 2023!

Collaborate
Each quarter, Professionals team members will come together to discuss local and state initiatives, training needs, advertising strategies, business challenges, and recent successes. These sessions provide valuable opportunities to share insights and align on collective goals.
Train
Throughout the year, monthly training events—both in-person and online—will be held for principals, sales agents, and property managers. These sessions are delivered by respected external providers as well as seasoned Professionals experts, ensuring relevant and practical learning for all participants.
Celebrate
Recognition remains a key part of our culture, and in 2024, even more celebratory events will be held. Monthly recognition of the top 50 staff, along with quarterly and annual awards, will spotlight outstanding performance across the network.
The calendar reaches its pinnacle in October with the Professionals International Conference and Awards, taking place this year at the brand-new W Sydney. This flagship event brings the entire network together for a powerful mix of learning, connection, and celebration.
