About Professionals

AN ICONIC AUSTRALIAN BRAND SINCE 1976. JOINING A REAL ESTATE FRANCHISE LIKE PROFESSIONALS PUTS YOU AHEAD OF THE PACK.
Professionals was founded in 1976 at the Breakfast Creek Hotel in Brisbane. Six members from different agencies came together and said: ‘We can do better’. They created a real estate franchise business model where real estate sales agents can keep their independence yet work collaboratively in a network and with the support of one brand, ensuring all members maintain and grow a profitable business.

From the start, this member-based group invested all profits from franchise sales back into the network, something that remains unchanged to this day. In the first five years, 45 offices were opened in Queensland. Since then, the brand has spread to the rest of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
